only two weeks we'd known each other and you were leaving
now you're gone and I think differently
wish I would have turned my head
and listened to the words my gut had said

the words fell freely from my mouth
whenever I was with you I could just let them out

and strangely enough I don't want you to hear this song
I know it'd only make things turn out wrong

this is nothing new to me
just another one of those missed opportunities
